The Pilgrimage

   Pick-up in Tirana

   We start the day with a convenient pick-up from a central location in Tirana.

   A relaxed start — "Avash avash"

   In Albania there's a saying: avash avash — "slowly, slowly." That's exactly how we begin. No rush; we ease into the adventure and enjoy the journey together.

3. 3

   Coffee break in Krujë

   Grab a hot or iced coffee, a fresh juice, or a bite before we begin exploring.

   Optional — anything purchased here is at your own expense.

   The Old Bazaar & Krujë Castle

   We walk the historic Old Bazaar on our way to the castle and the Skanderbeg Museum — with plenty of time after the museum to browse the shops and pick up a souvenir.

   Preparing for the hike

   We pass the Skanderbeg Statue and stop at a shop in case anyone needs more water for the climb.

   The hike to Sari Salltik

   Challenging but rewarding — and there's plenty of time allotted, so no rushing. Regular photo stops and breaks in the shade, with spectacular views the whole way up. The journey is just as important as reaching the summit.

   Summit & temple visit

   A summit-conquering group photo, then down into the Temple of Sari Salltik. Inside the cave you can light a candle and take part in the local tradition of making a wish for your future travels — or simply enjoy the coolness and peaceful atmosphere.

   Please note: shoulders must be covered to enter the temple.

   The victory meal — traditional Albanian lunch with a view

   We head to our partnered traditional Albanian Zgarë to relax and celebrate, overlooking the hike we've just completed, the town of Krujë and — on a clear day — all the way to Tirana. Your meal includes:

   • Fresh seasonal vegetables
   • Olives
   • Traditional Albanian sauces
   • Traditional pie (byrek)
   • Albanian cheese
   • French fries
   • Mixed grilled meats
   • Water
   • One glass of wine or beer
   • Traditional dessert

   Return to Tirana

   After good food and good company, we make our way back to Tirana — bringing an unforgettable day of history, culture, adventure and great food to a close.
